YubiKey GPG Configuration

In the realm of Pretty Good Privacy (PGP), it is essential to establish an appropriate key length to ensure an optimal level of security. The YubiKey becomes a crucial component by providing a secure platform for storing PGP private keys. Configuring the key length appropriately is the first step in ensuring secure and reliable communication, leveraging the physical protection features offered by YubiKey to prevent unauthorized access and safeguard the integrity of PGP keys.

The steps to generate a PGP key within the YubiKey are described in article YubiKey SSH Configuration (Steps 0 to 1)

Once the PGP key has been generated, you must go to the operating system’s PGP key manager program (Kleopatra for GnuPG, or any other one you are using) and download the public key that was just generated for your security key.

This will leave your public key ready to be shared to any person or website that needs it, and your private key will be stored in your security key.
